Frequently Asked Questions

Going to a boudoir session can be nerve-wracking, especially when you don’t know what to expect! Here are some of the most frequent questions I get regarding my sessions. If your question wasn’t answered, feel free to reach out to me! I’ll also send you a complete guide of what to bring, what to wear, and what to expect.

Where Is Your Studio?

You can find my private studio in sunny St. Pete, Florida, on the private second story in the Tyrone area.

Should I Wear Lingerie?

You don’t have to wear lingerie. If you’d like to do something unique or pose in a specific outfit, you can! This is your shoot, and I want you to feel at your most comfortable and beautiful at all times.

How Many Outfits Should I Bring?

While I only do four looks (three boudoir looks and one implied nude with a sheet (if you choose to do so), you can bring as many outfits as you’d like. We’ll take a look at them together and decide which will work best for the look you’d like.

Do I Need to Do My Own Hair and Makeup?

No, you don’t have to! We provide professional hair and makeup before your shoot to create a look you’ll love. It’s also a great way to calm your nerves and get comfortable before your shoot begins. You can glam it up or tone it down – whatever makes you feel your best.

Are My Photos Private?

A boudoir session is an intimate experience, so we completely understand if you’d like to keep your photos private. I won’t share or distribute any of your photos without your permission, and even then, I’d do so tastefully and respectfully (like the stunning ladies you see on my website and social media platforms).

Do You Have Payment Plans Available?

Yes, I do. Boudoir Bank is a pre-payment option that splits your boudoir shoot payment up over the course of up to a year. This not only gives you time to plan your session, but it’s also friendlier to your monthly budget. Boudoir Bank also lets you choose upgrades to the value of $700, for free. You can also choose to use PayPal credit at zero-percent interest for up to six months. .

Will You Photoshop My Images?

I color-correct and edit the exposure of my images as a standard. We’ll also sit together and take a look at your photos so that if there’s anything you’d like me to edit, soften, or enhance, you can tell me. These photos are your own, and I want you to love the way you look in them.

What Kind of Print Products Do You Offer?

Do you want to keep your beautiful photos in a place of pride? I specialize in handmade luxury albums, canvas, digital, acrylic, and metal prints. All of these options are available a la carte or as a collection. Your digital prints will go into a private gallery. I can even create a customized mobile app.

Why Boudoir?

Photography is an incredible art that captures some of the most moving, beautiful, and memorable moments in time. But - instead of taking photos of the world around me, I chose to do boudoir photography for a very special reason.

Boudoir photography, to me, isn’t just about taking photos. It’s about stripping away all of the insecurities and doubts that you might have in yourself, your body, and your beauty. I want the person in front of my camera to see themselves for who and what they really are, and that’s a phenomenal, gorgeous, and confident woman. Seeing the women I’ve worked with completely transform in front of the camera is what makes my calling so rewarding.

Let me explain.

When my clients walk in, they’re slightly unsure and very nervous. Who wouldn’t be? Boudoir shoots are way out of most women’s comfort zones. Like so many women, they’ve convinced themselves that their thighs are a little thicker, or their tummies a little softer than what’s considered “beautiful,” and they feel scared of what they might see on the images.

That’s where I come in. My boudoir sessions involve a comfortable space, gentle guidance, loads of encouragement - and even more laughter. I help you shed the insecurities, uncertainties, and doubts you had about your body, and I show you what you really look like. Once you see that very first photo, you transform. You become confident, comfortable, and even a little daring! You laugh, pose, tease, and after all is said and done, walk out of my studio a changed woman!

My Very Own Transformation

I’m good at what I do for one very good reason; I’ve been in your shoes! I once did a boudoir shoot in the hopes of feeling sensual and sexy, but my shoot didn’t go as planned. The photographer didn’t know how to work with a woman with a larger, curvier body type, and I walked out feeling embarrassed. I vowed to never pose for another photo ever again.

My friend, Alyssa, was determined to prove me wrong – and she did! Our session together was incredible. She made me feel confident, made me laugh, and guided me through every pose. We’re human, which means we often make excuses when it comes to doing things for ourselves. As women, we often need to juggle our careers, families, relationships, and health - and we’re lucky if we can give half of those things the attention they deserve. Doing a boudoir session might be the last thing on your mind, but I’m here to show you why you should start making yourself a priority and stop making excuses for why you can’t.

“I Don’t Have Enough Time for A Photoshoot.”

I’m fairly sure that you say the same thing when it comes to taking time for yourself. Are you sacrificing your time to take care of other people in your life? When’s the last time you pampered yourself, or slept in, or did something just for you? Your time is just as important as everyone else’s, and taking a day to do something that will make you feel more sensual, more beautiful, and more confident should be a priority!

“I Need to Lose Weight First.”

No, you don’t! A boudoir session isn’t reserved for supermodels. They’re for women of all shapes, sizes, and ages. The point of a boudoir session is to celebrate your body’s beauty just the way it is right now. If you’re set on a weight loss journey, you can use a boudoir experience to not only look back on how far you’ve come, but see that your body was beautiful and strong all along.

“Boudoir Isn’t for Me.”

I’m willing to bet that you’ve seen countless photos of models with slim, athletic bodies, flawless skin, and perfect features lounging around in expensive lingerie and thought, “I could never do that.” I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to be made for boudoir sessions – my boudoir sessions are made for you! My Boudoir Experience

I’ve received so many wonderful reviews and feedback from the beautiful women I’ve photographed in the past. As inspiring as their stories are, I thought I’d like to share my own today!

Being in Front of The Camera

Despite what you might think, I’m not always behind my camera. There was a time where I wanted to do my own boudoir shoot, so I took the plunge and booked a session with a photographer. I was ready to walk away feeling sexy, proud, and confident in my skin. I couldn’t wait!

However, when I arrived, things started going downhill.

The photographer wasn’t familiar with working with a larger and curvier model. The poses that were meant to make me feel empowered and sensual left me feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable. I walked away feeling like the body that I loved so much just wasn’t made to look like the women I saw in magazines, and that was that.

A Different Perspective

When she heard about my experience, my friend and fellow photographer, Alyssa, decided to prove a point. She wanted me to see that my body was perfect just the way it is, and that professional, genuine boudoir photography works with your body, not against it.

Alyssa made me feel comfortable in front of the camera and in my own skin. We spent the entire session talking, laughing, trying different poses, and generally having a blast. Before I knew it, I was waiting to see the final product. I was nervous. What if nothing’s changed? What if I was the problem?

A Flash of Clarity

I couldn’t believe my eyes. The woman I saw in those photos was gorgeous. She commanded respect, attention, desire. She was confident, proud, and so beautiful. She was me! I walked out of the studio feeling like a changed woman. Right there and then, I decided what to do next.

Being the Change I Wanted to See

My experience with Alyssa made me want to share that confidence and pride with others. I started doing boudoir sessions as a way to empower and celebrate women who felt like their bodies just weren’t cut out to be sexy. I wanted to show that feeling beautiful wasn’t reserved for a certain body type or shape or size. Each body is perfectly imperfect and deserves to be loved and celebrated in a way that makes you feel incredible.

Belinda's Witch-Vibe Boudoir Session

When you look at her strappy black lingerie and notice her sexy tattoos, you probably wouldn’t guess that she is such an inspiring and nurturing human. One of the reasons women choose empowerment sessions is to re-awaken that part in them that gets lost in their work, their time spent in motherhood, or just in the business of life. Belinda is a massage therapist, which means she knows how to get into a relaxed state no matter what the situation. She was a natural in front of the camera. Her life is that of the busiest of moms-- as she works directly with moms at Thank You Mama in St Pete. She knows first hand how important self care can be. Her sassy attitude and short hair made for the perfect spunky style. Her session included some witchy elements and it was fun to watch her enjoy the adult, sensual side of herself.

Chantel's Flirty and Fun Boudoir Studio Session

Chantel’s session was a very memorable one. She chose boudoir empowerment to give herself the gift of dedicated time. What a perfect choice for her situation. As a twin mom, there are a lot of minutes and hours and days that she spends completely wrapped up in service to her children. What an amazing gift to her kids to show them that we must also care for ourselves as mothers. She rocked it out with gorgeous pink tones-- and gave truth to the old saying “Blondes have more fun” as she certainly did during our session. Her electric smile and positive attitude were the essentials she brought to the studio. All of her cute, flirty one piece outfits were just a bonus. The most sexy thing about Chantel was her openness to try all the fun lighting options and different sets in the studio. Being flexible is a must when it comes to getting the most out of a boudoir session. She was the perfect model, and a great role model for her children.

A woman after my own heart-- I was happy to have Carol as a client. Her empowerment session reminded me of many amazing sessions I have done with skeptical, but excited ladies. She spent much of her life questioning her value and wondering about her own beauty. She wanted to see herself in a new light, and as a photographer, I love bringing a new vision to any woman who is searching. Although it took a few minutes to get her warmed up to being a “model”, her session ended up amazing! She chose an outdoor setting, which is excellent for those of us who find nature to be calming and reassuring. Her gorgeous red hair was illuminated by the sun for pictures that jump off of the screen. Beyond just the still photos, her trust in me made this session perfect. She reached to a depth of her person that she had never been to and brought her best self to my camera. Her radiance and strength made her images some of my favorites.

You Don't Look How You See Yourself and I Can Prove It! - St. Pete Boudoir Photographer- Tampa Boudoir Photographer

A few weeks ago I did a little experiment in my boudoir VIP group. The group is made up of a diverse amount of ladies, from ages 20-75, many races and from different backgrounds. I posted a few images and asked them the first thing that came to mind for them when they saw the images of me? What they didn’t know is, a lot of the pictures I posted, where images of me that I didn’t really like when I first saw them, because I had found something in them, about myself to dislike immediately. What I found was interesting, NO ONE ELSE saw me as I saw myself. Here are some examples.

Let’s start with an oldie but goody! This image was from when I was in “the best shape of my life” by this worlds standards on beauty and “health.” What this image doesn’t tell you is that to look like that, I worked out three hours a day, and ate 20 grams of carbs or less for years. I never cheated, I didn’t go out and to be honest, I was a little bit unhealthily obsessed. In addition to that, I had severe self esteem issues, hated my thighs, and lacked confidence. I always wanted to hide and not really be seen, I felt ashamed. Upon showing the group this image, the most used word was confident. Knowing what I know now, all these years later….this is my “I wish I looked like I used to when I thought I was fat picture” lol. I wish I looked like that, I wish I was that healthy now and to be honest, looking back I was going through some of the hardest times of my life and I made it, I did it and I was to young to look back and honor that then, so I am going to honor that now <3

This image of me was take on a beautiful day during a family session in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I planed this session for month’s. I was so excited to have images of my family where my husband and daughters heritage is from. During our session, I was excited to do an image or two for myself to use for my branding and company. This by far was my top spot to get some images at. When I first saw this picture, all I could see was my stomach. My negative Nancy came out and was criticizing why I didn’t suck it in more, or be more mindful of it. It really took away the joy, beauty and perfection of the image…and most importantly in the moment. Everyone wrote that I was either stunning, beautiful or gorgeous. Why would I not believe them, because it really is the truth! This image reminds me of a day I spent wandering a beautiful city with my family, lots of laughs and moments. 20 years from now, what I think and feel about my stomach won’t even be an issue!

The quote on this picture say’s it all and it’s so true! I almost didn’t post this image because I didn’t like how my arms looked at the time, as if that was the most important thing about this photo (cue my sarcastic tone if you know me in person.) This was a weekends on a local beach with my husband and daughter. What was most important that weekend was the time being spent together and the memories being made. My daughter mastered swimming by herself and underwater that weekend, she was like a fish and just kept jumping into the pool, getting out doing it again…and repeat. Moment’s I hope she remembers for life and recreates with her children too. Thankfully, I didn’t let my arms get in the way of all that, KWIM? All the ladies said they say making memories, family and a mothers love! They were so right!

This image is from a vendor event a while back. When I walked in and saw they had created this, all I could think was genius and we have to do it! My friend Jessie (who is literally the best person I could think of to do this with because she’s so fun) and I climbed into the ball pit and got ready for them to cue us. We got two tries to make it work and this was my favorite of the two. When I saw the image, all I thought to myself was OMG she’s SO CUTE and I am so…WOW that’s not a good angle for me! I eventually got over that and saw the truth in the photo. I had so much fun that night, I tried something new and damn look at the smile on my face, that is only caused by my sincerest, deepest of belly laughs! The ladies said fun, and happiness and the truth was, yeah spending a night with some of my closest friends was so great!

My goals with the experiment was two fold. It was to show that no one see’s you how you see yourself and that we are abnormally hard on ourselves. Secondly that later in life you won’t care about the things that bother you in the now. The things you worry about and knit pick at about yourself, no one notices and to be honest, most of the time it’s not even true. Truth sometimes is hard for us to see and receive when we aren’t being kind to ourselves. Sometime you just need to give yourself some grace and know your doing the very best job you can at this moment. You my dear are enough, right where you are at.

This is why I do what I do and believe it is so important to capture yourself in a boudoir session. The very act of doing something new and different while pushing yourself out of your comfort zone helps create new neural pathways (it’s science google it!) Seeing yourself differently and in a new way helps transform your mind and how you see yourself for the longterm. The amount of transformational healing I have seen through boudoir sessions has been amazing! It literally fuels my fire to keep going and doing these empowering sessions!

Rowena's 'Fabulous at Fifty Session with St Pete Boudoir Photographer

Rowena has a heart of gold and I was so excited she chose to gift herself a session for her fiftieth birthday! It blows me away how hot and stunning women continue to be as they age, and Rowena is no different. She brought a timeless classic look to some of her photographs and some more modern looks for others— which was the perfect combination. Her glow was so noticeable that her pictures captivate anyone who sees them. Because she owns a clothing boutique, Rowena knows what female empowerment is all about. Sometimes clothes can be art, and sometimes we can take them off and see our own artistic beauty without being covered up. She showed up as every type of fabulous and I still daydream about her session often— she was a delight to work with in studio.

Sara's Industrial Rialto Tampa Empowerment Photography Session

Sara may look like a badass woman, but she is so very sweet to meet. Her session showed her harder, more dominating side. The sexy leather outfits against the red antique couch really popped. Her lashes were long and luscious which made all of the close-up photographs even more luxurious. The Rialto Theater in Tampa is a great spot to give an old-time feel with the stone and brick backgrounds; it made this session a breeze. Stepping into her own confidence, Sara was a strong woman in every sense of the word. Her hourglass shaped body and perfect blend of dark and light locks made the light bounce from one part of her body to the next. This session was loaded with perfect images, it was hard to chooses just a few for this blog.

Michelle's Seductive Boudoir Session with Tampa Boudoir Photographer

This session was magical with Michelle! She rocked her boudoir experience and it glows through her photographs. While taking pictures of her in our Tampa studio, she brought some great plaid pieces to bring a casual feel, but ultimately her hot, sexy looks showed through best of all. She may not be new to Tampa Bay, but she brought a unique vibe to the table. Her red lips were stunning against the bedroom set, and her gorgeous hair set off the pretty pale tones of her skin. Under her grey Calvin Klein sexy pajamas, her tattoos peeked through and made us all curious about her fabulous bod. Her abs are amazing and she was absolutely a joy to have in the studio. What a wonderful empowering session of self love for this majestic lady. Can’t wait to shoot more like this in my St Pete studio.

Marisa's Nerdy and Sassy Empowerment Experience - St. Pete Boudoir Photography

If it’s not the wild hair, it is certainly the spark in her attitude that made Marisa’s shoot an absolute success. The purple in her hair was almost as vivid as her personality. She came into the studio ready to rock the boat with her upbeat flair in this boudoir session. In her spare time, she loves to get nerdy and is a big Star Wars and Harry Potter fan— so naturally we had to add some things to the session to bring out her inner fan girl. She wore a lot of subtle colors of lingerie so that what really stood out was her own shine from within. When women come in with their own look, especially body art dedicated to their favorite things— it makes customizing their shoots even easier. She was radiating confidence in her red one piece and all I had to do was look on in awe of her beauty. Her sassy and nerdy shoot was one for the books!

Vanessa

Vanessa was ready to step outside the box a bit and really get a grip on her confidence. I love how as you scan her images you can see the obvious change in her energy. She was feeling a little more closed off at the beginning as most women do, but by the end she blossomed into her amazing goddess self. She started striking poses like a true professional and just made it look effortless. The black lacy pieces she put on with those heels really complimented her skin tone perfectly. And I just loved the look of the blanket wrapped around her, she is stunning! She brought her guys favorite football jersey along so that she could get some great shots for their anniversary gift for him and she nailed it. Not only does he love the finished product but she loves the way it has really boosted her self esteem.

Stacey's Belly Dancing Tampa Boudoir Studio Session

Stacey is such a breathtaking energetic beauty, we had an absolute blast bringing out her inner goddess in the Tampa Boudoir Studio. As a mother of four beautiful children it comes as no surprise that she may have been feeling a little drained in her self-love tank. But as soon as we got started she just had such a great time exploring the options, playing with the outfits and striking the poses. Her hair and makeup looked absolutely perfect and meshed so well with her style. She has a very sultry vibe about her and seeing as she is also an amazing belly dancer it makes complete sense. She brought her stunning ensemble for some of the images and the colors took my breath away, just a beautiful outfit for her to wear. Once she put it on she looked right at home with her sexy attitude and just owned the entire studio with her radiance.

Skye's Classic and Flirty Tampa Studio Boudoir Session

I had the great pleasure of capturing the beautiful Skye as my very last session shot at the old Tampa Boudoir Studio. We got the chance to head up to the attic and really make some magic happening with the dark walls and the perfect lighting. Everything about her session just came together so perfectly. It is always fun when I get to work with women who are basically up for anything in their shoot. Skye had a blast with all the different wardrobe changes and really rocked that bright red lipstick. She was able to have a very classic and quiet look up in the attic which hinted at a vintage feel. But as soon as we got back in the main studio and she put on those boots a whole different edgy side of her came out. However, she was able to transition right back to an almost shy presence with she put on the lace and started being playful with her posing on the bed. Her images speak for themselves!

Keri's Super Sexy Tampa Boudoir Session

The gorgeous Keri and I have been friends for over 8 years, in fact, I even did her maternity pictures, how amazing it was to do her Boudoir Session now too. She doesn’t just look like a badass, she is a badass. As a cop and a mom she deals with so much on a daily basis. It is beyond hard for her to find any “me” time and she was really needing a pick-me-up in life. I knew that she would do amazing at this shoot and gain back every ounce of confidence life had drained from her. She started with the sports jersey and seriously rocked it but when she adds the glasses she takes her look to a new sexy level. Who doesn’t love to play dress up too, each and every outfit was like it was made for her. The colors of the studio really brought out the depth in her eyes and each image really captured a different emotion.

Kayla and The Rialto Theatre Boudoir Session

Kayla and I were so excited that she was going to get to do her sexy shoot at the Rialto Theatre in Tampa, what a perfect backdrop for this seductive momma. She has been in modeling for quite some time but was excited about getting some personal images for herself this time. She came totally prepared to rock this session and the pictures prove it. As a mom she knows all too well the stresses of adult life and what better way to unwind a bit than with a gorgeous Boudoir Shoot. She got to play dress up and so a few wardrobe changes and with her bright red lipstick she looked like she was ready to take on the town. I had a great time working with her and it was even more exciting to see an already confident woman leave the Rialto with even more pep in her step.

Johana's Rockstar Tampa Boudoir Shoot

This edgy beauty is Johana and she is a gorgeous force to be reckoned with, so glad she came for a Tampa Boudoir Session. Not only does her amazing spunky attitude shine in her images they shine in real life too. The guitar you see in the images is her husbands and she was on a mission to surprise him with some sexy shots with it. She went and snuck it out of his studio, brought it to our session AND snuck it back into his studio before band practice that night. How fun, right? She owned each outfit she had and is a true badass. She, as most women, was looking for a confidence booster and she sure left with that and more. We had the pleasure of shooting her in the Rialto Theatre in Tampa, this place gives tons of stunning backdrops for images. The setting fit her rocker style perfectly and the textures of the lace and hard surfaces left her with a gorgeous finished product.

When your husband is in the coast guard, what better way to keep that spark alive than by flaunting yourself with the amazing confidence that Ayla is showing in her gorgeous Tampa Boudoir session. The happy couple was recently married and she absolutely loved the idea of gifting him some fun flirty shots as a wedding gift. She sparkles in front of the camera and was comfortable right from the start. We had a blast playing with the shadows and lighting, her skin looks like porcelain with the red lingerie, wouldn’t you agree? One of my favorite things about a boudoir session is the outfits and Ayla was ready to try them all! Her charisma really shows through in the pictures, you can see exactly how spunky and exciting she can be. I thought it was so great that she even chose to incorporate the Coast Guard flag for her hubby. Just gorgeous!
